A year to remember
Professional direction, personal development, and a strong sense of community.

A Nordic Year to Remember

Efterskolen Flyvesandet is a residential school for students aged 13 to 18. It is located at the northernmost tip of the Danish island of Funen, surrounded by peaceful woodlands and just a few hundred meters from the rugged Kattegat coastline. The natural surroundings offer a unique setting for learning, community, and outdoor adventure.
The school focuses on the Nordic countries and prides itself on building cultural bridges to Greenland and the Faroe Islands. At Efterskolen Flyvesandet we aim to unite the traditions of the Nordic lands and offer students a fantastic school year full of challenge and adventure.
The four specialty subjects
The school offers a choice of four specialty subjects for students to choose between; horse riding (Islandic horses), hunting, fishing and food. Besides the four specialty subjects, the school naturally offers the usual range of tuition for 8th, 9th and 10th grades which include end of year examinations.
Your year at Efterskolen Flyvesandet
